Henky Solaiman meninggal pada Jumat (15/5/2020) pada usia 78 tahun.
Berita duka ini diketahui dari unggahan Instagram Sutradara Fajar Nugros yang mengupload foto Henky Solaiman berlatar belakang hitam putih dengan caption Selamat jalan om Hengky.
Henky yang akrab memerankan Wak Sain di sinetron Dunia Terbalik ini diketahui sebelumnya mengidap penyakit kanker usus.
Bahkan perannya di sinetron Dunia Terbalik diakhiri dengan adegan syuting kematiannya pada Januari 2020 silam.
"Ini tenda siapa yang pasang, saya belum mati kok sudah pasang tenda," kelakar Henky saat berpamitan, seperti dikutip Kompas.com dari video tayangan Cumicumi, Rabu (22/1/2020).
Henky bahkan sempat bercanda mengatakan mungkin dia nanti akan meminta tim produksi menulis cerita perannya mati kemudian hidup kembali.
Sebenarnya, saat mendengar dirinya didiagnosis penyakit kanker, Henky tidak terlalu ambil pusing, hanya saja dia sadar penyakit ini memerlukan perawatan jangka panjang.
Daripada harus menyusahkan pemeran lainnya, salah satunya Entin (Rosnita Putri), istri Sain, akhirnya Henky setuju saat perannya dibuat berakhir dengan kematian.
"Kanker kayak pilek, sama saja, tapi memang perawatannya agak lama dan makan waktu, jadi saya bersyukur Pak Jack ada pengertian," kata Henky.
"Jadi bukannya saya bikin kesalahan terus mau di out-in," jelas Henky.
Henky menyadari kondisi kesehatannya kurang baik hingga berat badannya turun drastis.

Henky mendapat kejutan dari para artis yang ikut berperan dalam sinetron Dunia Terbalik.

Para pemain sinetron Dunia Terbalik tak kuasa menahan tangis saat Henky berpamitan.
Sementara Henky, selama sakitnya ia berusaha untuk tak sedih. Momen Henky berpamitan itu pun menjadi penuh haru.
Meski telah divonis mengidap kanker usus, aktor senior Henky Solaiman menolak untuk mendapat perawatan medis.
Padahal Henky sadar betul, ada kemungkinan dokter yang merawatnya marah jika tahu dia memutuskan tak menjalani perawatan.
Namun, Henky tetap bersikukuh untuk tidak menjalani perawatan.
Alasannya, aktor kelahiran 1941 itu merasa tidak bisa hidup normal lagi setelah operasi atau pun kemoterapi.
"Disuruh operasi, kemo (terapi) itu sudah biasa, tapi kalau (operasi) dekat rektum, 80 persen sudah pakai kantonglah," kata Henky seperti dikutip Kompas.com dari tayangan Cumicumi, Rabu (22/1/2020).
"Enggak bisa disambung lagi, tiga bulan, ya sudah kantong seumur hidup. Ya itu bukan hidup namanya saya bilang, saya nolak operasi, enggak mau kemo," ucapnya lagi.
Menolak menjalani kemoterapi dan operasi, Henky memilih untuk menjalani terapi magnet.
Meski ia sendiri tidak tahu pasti apakah itu akan berpengaruh pada kanker yang diidapnya.
Setidaknya, dia pernah merasa kondisinya jauh lebih baik dan lebih lancar Buang Air Besar (BAB) setelah menjalani terapi magnet.
"Setelah berapa lama tidur di magnet ini lumayan, tiap hari ada beberapa teman dokter (bilang), setiap ada masuk ada keluar, bagus. Bertahanlah (dengan terapi magnet)," ujar Henky.
